DoctorNDTV Survey

Does diet affect your personality?

It is widely believed that non-vegetarians tend to have a more aggressive personality and non-vegetarian food leads or predisposes one to violent tendencies.

DoctorNDTV conducted a survey to find out whether vegetarians possessed different personality traits as compared to non-vegetarians. The results show that many common assumptions regarding diet were not widely shared amongst those who participated in the survey.

Opinion was divided regarding the role of diet leading to aggressive behaviour or their religious beliefs. A majority (85%) of the respondents were of the opinion that vegetarians did not lack the killer instinct and they too could make good fast bowlers (65%). Nearly half the participants disagreed that non-vegetarians were more prone to committing crimes or that food items like onion, garlic, meat and alcohol correlated with violent behaviour.
