DoctorNDTV Survey

Though food adulteration is a permanent problem in India, it reaches its peak during the festive season. The use of artificial colours, adulterated material and poor hygienic conditions of the preparation of sweets on Diwali can have serious consequences. DoctorNDTV.com conducted a survey, to find out the general perception of the public on food adulteration around Diwali time. The survey results revealed that a majority of people want silver foil to be disallowed in preparing these sweets. Similarly, there is great number that wants the use of artificial colours to be banned. While a small fraction disagrees with the idea of reinforcing the laws governing the preparation of sweets, most of the people have voted in its favour.

These results give a very telling insight as to how more and more Indians are giving importance to what they eat and how it can affect their health.

try to merge tradition and standards. if traders use standard ingrediants, why should we feel health hazards. at present, every body wants to make money quickly and traders traditional ethics are also not followed. so, purchase from known sweet trader who makes and checks himself all the ingrediants. maybe, these traders are not popular but are known in the neighbourhood from generations. also, buy from reputated business houses or brand names.

in take of anything should be cautious. when there is no sufficient work-outs in the day-to-day life - sweets are to be taken in less quantity. the results of the surveys are to be reached to the very common citizen of the world - especialy in india.
