Examinations are a trying time for every student. The stress and pressure associated with it not only affects the student, but their families as well. DoctorNDTV.com conducted a survey, to find out what the students and parents think about the current examination system and what changes can ease the pressure and help students to face the exams more confidently.
A majority of people (72%) felt that the current marking system should be changed. Ninety-two percent people felt that a continuous assessment system will help the students cope better with the exams. Pre-examination counselling was considered mandatory by 80% people and 78% felt that reservations should be abolished. But there was a mixed response from people about abolishing the importance of yearly exams. However, 70% felt that university selections should not be based solely on Board exams.
