Every year thousands of women choose to terminate their pregnancies, across the world. Doctor NDTV.com conducted a survey on this and found out how people think of the issues surrounding the termination of pregnancy.
The results of the survey indeed seem as an eye-opener on the way the general public responds to issues as sensitive as abortion. While the majority of the respondents were against the idea of terminating a pregnancy on the basis of prenatal sex determination, eight percent of the people voted in its favour. A large number of respondents felt that the father should have a say in the decision to terminate the pregnancy. And as to the mother alone taking the decision on abortion, more than half of the users disagreed with the idea.
